Our Optometrist

Did you know there is more to an eye exam than vision correction? Your eyes are the windows to your overall heath, and many illnesses can show early signs in the eyes, which may affect your vision. Most people believe they are not due for an eye exam until they start squinting or experiencing blurry vision. In fact, many diseases, such as glaucoma, are not symptomatic and can only be diagnosed during an annual eye exam.

Our eye doctors use state-of-the-art medical equipment and technology to ensure accuracy and a thorough ocular assessment. This includes the Optomap examination, which is a revolutionary new form of retinal photography. The Optomap is done without dilation, takes only a quarter of a second to capture an image, and allows the doctor to observe a much large portion of the retina than with standard undilated eye examination. Optomap images are also available for the patient to see. The Optomap examination is a screening tool, and the doctor may still need to dilate your eyes.
